By Car

Sunderland is served by first class road links, with the city easily accessible from the A1 and from the A19.

From the A1 or travelling northbound on the A19, turn off for the A690 towards Sunderland. Travelling southbound on the A19, follow the A1231 towards Sunderland.

The Theatre Restaurant is located in the heart of Sunderland City Centre.

By Bus

Sunderland City Centre is well served by local bus services. Many services stop on Fawcett Street, just two minutes walk from The Theatre Restaurant. Other services terminate at Sunderland Interchange, around fifteen minutes away on foot.

By Metro

Tyne and Wear Metro is a light rail system with 60 stations serving Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside and South Tyneside.

The Theatre Restaurant is just a few minutes walk from Sunderland Metro Station.

By Train

Most train routes to Sunderland are via Newcastle Central Station, which can be reached by both train and Metro services.

Parking

Sunniside Multi Storey Car Park is located to the North East of the City Centre and is accessed off High Street West, just 100 yards from The Theatre Restaurant.

The car park operates 24 hours a day and has 653 spaces. It has a pay on foot method of operation, comprehensive CCTV system and has already received "Safer Parking" status.

Monday to Saturday:

• 8.00 am - 6.00 pm, 80p per hour
• 6.00 pm - 8.00 am, 40p per hour

Sundays and Bank Holidays:

• 40p per hour (maximum of £1.00)
